Fashion Designer and Stylist, 21 years old, Batangas
Coming into the competition, Ionica plans to introduce her version of the new feminine. She is as edgy, funky, and uninhibited as her design style. Even back in the De La Salle College of St. Benilde, where she earned her degree in Fashion Design and Merchandising, Ionica has always been unafraid to show off her flair for the unexpected.
She’s very playful with colors, metal studs, and patterns. As a designer, it helps that Ionica works as a stylist at the same time so she is given a level of control over the total look of her newfound femininity. Fearless and ready for action, Ionica is excited to rock the runway.
What sets you apart from other designers? What makes you an interesting participant?
My creativity and outlook. I get along with everyone but I can be feisty if I need to be.
Have you gone through formal fashion training before? If not, what is your fashion design background?
Yes. I graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design and Merchandising from De La Salle College of St. Benilde last 2010.
Have you joined other design competitions prior to Project Runway Philippines?
Give one word that best describes you as a designer.
